Pensar com os olhos
"A good
practice is to see as artists claim they see. Our only language is
vision, they say. To see with vacation eyes, as we arrive in a new
place. Bright eyed. To see all kinds of things for a few days, at least.
Once you have a point of view, however, almost all you're seeing will
back you up. Pre-installed narratives, pictures, categories, stale
metaphors, reminiscences, disciplinary deformation, turfy professional
chauvinism, all interfere with how and what we see."
