Why?
Under the dog star sail
Over the reefs of moonshine
Under the skies of fall
North, north west, the Stones of Faroe
Under the Arctic fire
Over the seas of silence
Hauling on frozen ropes
For all my days remaining
But would north be true?
All colours bleed to red
Asleep on the ocean's bed
Drifting on empty seas
For all my days remaining
But would north be true?
Why should I?
Why should I cry for you?
Dark angels follow me
Over a godless sea
Mountains of endless falling,
For all my days remaining,
What would be true?
Sometimes I see your face,
The stars seem to lose their place
Why must I think of you?
Why must I?
Why should I?
Why should I cry for you?
Why would you want me to?
And what would it mean to say,
That, "I loved you in my fashion"?
What would be true?
Why should I?
Why should I cry for you?

A sorrir?

Still Stalking

A good conscience, Schopenhauer says, means more than a good reputation. Our greatest goal should be good health and intelectual wealth, which lead to an inexhaustible supply of ideas, independence, and moral life. Inner equanimity stems from knowing that it is not things that disturb us, but our interpretations of things.
This last idea — that the quality of our life is determined by how we interpret our experiences, not by the experiences themselves — is an important therapeutic doctrine dating back to antiquity. A central tenet in the school of Stoicism, it passed through Zeno, Seneca, Marcus Aurelius, Spinoza, Schopenhauer, and Nietzsche, to become a fundamental concept in both dynamic and cognitive-behavioral therapy.

Cries And Whispers, Ingmar Bergman
We human beings are all hardwired to connect with others. From whatever perspective we study human society, whether its broad evolutionary history or the development of a single individual, we are obliged to view the human being in his or her interpersonal context — as related to others. There is convincing data from the study of nonhuman primates, primitive human cultures, and contemporary society that our need to belong is powerful and fundamental: we have always lived in groups with intense and persistent relationships among members. Confirmation is ubiquitous: to cite only one example, many recent studies in positive psychology stress that intimate relationships are a sine qua non for happiness.
[...] Because many therapists have trained in traditions that stress the importance of opaqueness and neutrality, friends willing to reveal themselves to one another may, in this regard, have an advantage over professional therapists. [...] The more you can be truly yourself, can share yourself fully, the deeper and more sustaining the friendship.

He's a stalker. He's an eternal prisoner.

Oh God, what people!
Haven't you seen them?
They've got empty eyes.
The only thing they can think about is how to sell themselves not too cheap!
How to get as much as possible for their every emotional movement!
They know, they were "born for a purpose", "called upon"!
After all, they live "only once"!
Can people like that believe in anything?
And nobody believes...
Nobody!
Who am I going to take there?
Oh God!
And what's most awful is that no one needs it.
No one needs that room.
And all my efforts are just in vain.
Stalker, Tarkovsky

This is the end
Beautiful friend
This is the end
My only friend, the end
Of our elaborate plans, the end
Of everything that stands, the end
No safety or surprise, the end
I'll never look into your eyes...again
Can you picture what will be
So limitless and free
Desperately in need...of some...stranger's hand
In a...desperate land

Surviving Desire
Rather I had you would not go. Nay come,
I will not again reproach you. Lie back
And let me love you a long time ere you go.
For you are sullen-hearted still, and lack
The will to love me. But even so
I will set a seal upon you from my lip,
Will set a guard of honour at each door,
Seal up each channel out of which might slip
Your love for me.

It's only water

If the bells ring why should we run? We will listen to the music they make instead.
Let us settle ourselves, and work and wedge our feet downward through the mud and slush of opinion… that alluvion which covers the globe till we come to a hard bottom and rocks… in a place which we can call… reality…

"Staring at the Sun"

And I tell myself that I don't want to belong to any more committees or teach anymore, because the field is becoming drugs, pharmacotherapy. The next generation of therapists isn't going to be trained for psychotherapy because the insurance companies aren't going to be paying for it any longer.
What feels most central for me is being creative and looking at the way in which I have creative talents and gifts that I haven't used. I basically see myself as a storyteller engaged in ideas that have to do with an existential, deeper approach to life. I feel very uncomfortable with the idea of these gifts being unused.

The great adventure that is ahead
The word "believe" is a difficult thing for me. I don't believe. I must have a reason for a certain hypothesis. If I know a thing, and when I know it, I don't need to believe it. I don't allow myself, for instance, to believe a thing just for the sake of believing it. I can't believe it. But when there are sufficient reasons for a certain hypothesis, I shall accept it, naturally.
Life behaves as if it were going on. So I think it is better for old people to live on, to look forward to the next day as if he had to spend centuries. Then he lives properly.
If you think a certain way, you may feel considerably better. And if you think along the lines of Nature, then you think properly.

Wisdom is so much more...
Every soul comes to the sun
Carried on angel’s wings to human birth
Born of love or born of hate
Each one is heaven sent to human fate
Dream
Little girl, dream
Dream
Little boy, dream
Dream
In joy and pain each one will grow
For wisdom is so much more than what we know
And every child will find their way
Of living the whole life story day by day

Eternal return to daydreaming
I keep having this dream when I dream of the log walls and dark pantry.
I sense that it's only a dream.
Then joy is clouded for I know I'll wake up.
Sometimes something happens, and I stop dreaming of the house of my chilhood.
Then I grieve and wait for the dream that will make me a child again and I'll be happy again knowing that all still lies ahead and nothing is impossible. The Mirror, A. Tarkovsky

20 minutos
Vinte minutos à varanda.
1000 pensamentos.
Um argumento para uma história.
Mas...
Não sei porquê, palpita-me que o Hal Hartely já o terá pensado.
Duas pessoas.
Uma obsessão.
O (in)evitável?
Uma desvia-se.
Outra procura.
Amor fati.

I have dreamed of you so much
You are no longer real.
Is there still time for me to touch
Your breathing body,
To kiss your mouth
And make your voice come alive again?
I have dreamed of you so much
There's no more time for me to wake up.
I have dreamed of you so much,
Have walked so much, talked so much,
Slept so much with your phantom,
The only thing left for me
Is to become a phantom among phantoms,
A shadow a hundred times more shadow
Than the shadow that moves and goes on moving,
Brightly, over the sundial of your life.

da música
Music now brings me sensations such as I have never had before. It takes me away from myself, it sobers me up from myself, as if I oversaw myself from a distance, it gluts my senses...
Life without music would be an error, a hardship, an exile.

Viagens... pela teia
Estando a ler isto, li o nome, Thomas Riedlinger.
Fui investigar e encontrei isto.

This we know:
All things are connected.
Like the blood which unites one family.
All things are connected.
Whatever befalls the Earth, befalls the sons of the Earth.
Man did not weave the web of life.
He is merely a strand in it.
Whatever he does to the web, he does to himself.
This we know.
Terá sido Chief Seattle, que o disse.
